Key Largo School, Home of the Tornados,is looking for a highly qualified VPK teacher to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds in our Pre-K classroom. Using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling, you will teach children to identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education.

The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform specialized work in providing and supervising the activities of students to provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment. The position is responsible for preparing instructional materials, preparing classrooms for activities, supervising and assisting children in the classroom and in other areas of the school. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.

To be successful as a VPK teacher, you should have the patience, compassion, and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, each of whom will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes, and emotions. The best candidate will also have excellent administrative and organizational skills, in order to plan curriculums and create reports on each child&#39s progress.
Pre-K teachers are responsible for providing early childhood education to children four and five years of age. If you have child care skills and know safety and first aid techniques, you would be a valuable addition to our team of dedicated preschool teachers.
